Body Mass index (BMI) is a pretty decent way to determine if you need to
lose weight. Because the Body Mass index doesn't define fitness or muscle to fat
ratio, do keep in mind that it is a rather crude measure. But it is a lot better
than the old height and weight tables. Most obesity studies these days use BMI.
