Men's Healthy Skin Care Products

It's no secret men need health skin care products too! Unfortunately, finding healthy, natural products can be a challenge. Most skin care products marketed toward men just as chemical laden as those marketed to women.

Aftershave is a great example of this. Why put something so painful and harsh on your skin right after you've shaved? Do you like walking around with a sign on your face that says "Hello! My skin hates me!" Pretty much anything is going to sting and burn if you apply it to your skin after shaving, but even more so if it contains SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol, or Isopropyl Alcohol.

These are all drying alcohols usually used in skin care products (and yes, even "natural" products too). Drying alcohols burn like hell and make your eyes water so much you'll feel like you're watching the end of "My Girl" for the very first time. Even worse than the tears of agony, these chemicals are wrecking havoc to your skin.

SD Alcohol 40, Ethyl Alcohol, and Isopropyl Alcohol all have the power to wick water away from your skin. These chemicals are kind of like molecular sponges. They go in and bind to the water in your skin, then the alcohol evaporates faster than you can say "dehydrated." This leaves your skin stripped, dry, and unprotected.

You see, even men need water in their skin. Proper hydration starts with drinking enough water every day, but it also means not using products that rob your skin of moisture.
